Doug and Betty became members of AGA in 1984, starting with three cows purchased from Cedar Top and their first herd bull from Beastrom Gelbvieh. Long before “Balancers” were officially recognized, they were already breeding them. Their program expanded by leasing registered Angus cows from Connealy Angus and crossing them with a purebred Gelbvieh bull.

In the fall of 2000, they dispersed their registered herd but continued running a small commercial cow herd. In 2017, Anthony reignited the tradition by purchasing a Balancer bull from Beastrom Gelbvieh, and by 2020, Doug rejoined AGA while Anthony became a member as well.

Since then, they have continued to build their program, adding resident herd sires BABR Outbound 9304G, BABR Remedy 1307H, and TJB Addiction 286K ET, along with select females from Beastrom, Boehler, Brown, Brooks, Red Maple Gelbvieh, and Warner Beef Genetics.
